Acupuncture
Acupuncture is based on the balanced flow of Qi (pronounced CHē). From a traditional perspective, it flows throughout the body providing nutrients along energetic, vein-like pathways called meridians. Each pathway leads to body parts such as organs or glands. When there is pain or disease, the normal flow of Qi is out of balance.
From a western perspective, acupuncture points activate the central nervous system, releasing chemicals into the spinal cord, brain, and muscles, producing biochemical changes that stimulate the body’s natural healing.
From traditional and western perspectives, alike, acupuncture is incredibly effective at enhancing blood flow, reducing inflammation and pain, relieving stress, and returning the body to balanced good health.
